International & Regional Symposium Events

For the past several years, Arcitura has co-organized two international and regional symposium events dedicated to topic areas relevant to its schools. The International Symposium event series has grown into a significant bi-annual event, attracting expert speakers and authors from around the world. 2nd Government SOA Symposium
Arlington, VA, USA
April 21-22, 2010

The 2nd Annual Government SOA Symposium brought together lessons learned and emerging topics from both government and industry SOA projects, practitioners, and IT experts. The theme for this SOA Symposium was "Discipline, Teamwork & Semantic Technologies" to make SOA a successful reality. This conference held more than 30 presenters from federal agencies, industry, and academia that covered the SOA lifecycle, as well as emerging innovations and issues of semantic integration and collaborative service-oriented solutions.

2nd International SOA Symposium + 1st International Cloud Symposium
Rotterdam, Netherlands
October 22-23, 2009

The 2nd Annual International SOA Symposium and 1st Annual International Cloud Symposium was held in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The symposium had an overarching theme of "Next Generation SOA", in which it represented a focus on modern service technologies, SOA technology innovation and trends, and the emergence of proven and field-tested industry practices and patterns. The first-ever Cloud Symposium highlighted many modern innovations that are being developed in support of Cloud-based services.

1st Government SOA Symposium
Arlington, VA, USA
April 6-7, 2009

The 1st Annual Government SOA Symposium was sponsored by the US Department of Defense (DoD) and brought together many SOA experts and practitioners to cover the most important topics pertaining to the wide spread adoption of SOA in both government and industry sectors. The theme for day 1 of the conference was "Focus on Technology" and the theme for day 2 of the conference was "Focus on the Human Side". Many primary topics were covered such as: SOA Architecture, SOA Design Patterns, Web Services with REST Services, SOA Governance Best Practices, Service Versioning & Evolution, and much more.

1st International SOA Symposium
Amsterdam, Netherlands
October 6-7, 2008

The 1st Annual International SOA Symposium was a great success in that it provided a combination of expert speakers from around the world and a series of SOA training and certification workshops. The theme for the symposium was "Substance Only" and many of the events were filled with extra-curricular activities, including contests, giveaways, and tours.
